Alessandro Prazzoli a.k.a. Alex Phratz (formerly Alex P) was born in Milan in 1986 and since he was a child he showed a great interest in electronic music by spending his time listening to his sister’s vinyl records (for example “Electrica Salsa “Of Off).

At the age of 14, his attraction to music and nightlife, combined with a strong sense of rhythm, led him to the decision to become a DJ and so, bought his first console and quickly learned mixing techniques.

Begins to perform in various private parties and in small clubs in Milan and then moves on to the consoles of discos and discopubs.

His DJ activity leads him to play in well known and lesser known clubs, always with the great professionalism that distinguishes him on the console.

His musical selections include both important house songs and rare tracks as well as the greatest hits of the past and present.

As a producer Alex began composing electronic music at the age of 11 with rudimentary softwares, but over the years and with the evolution of software Alex grew artistically dedicating himself to house, electro, electr ohouse and even dance productions.

In addition to all the productions released since 2006 under the pseudonym of Alex P, among his other projects we can remember Double Sound (electrohouse project with Steve Ersenemic), The Elektroprostitute (electro and experimental tracks), Fashion Cocktail (deep house, pop , Chill House), Groove Crime (club and house productions with Francesco Castelli), Punk Clubber (techno and experimental electronic productions) and the most recent Houseways (dance productions with Fabio Carnelli), DA Monkey Business (with Lo Zio), Phratz & Kar (with Kardon).

Between 2009 and 2012 he also manages two record labels (Serious Digital Music and Solnce Records) as A&R.

After about a decade from the beginning of his activity, in 2014 Alex feels the need for changes and creates his new alter ego ALEX PHRATZ (making both melodic and radio house productions and more “commercial” tracks).

In addition to the numerous records produced Alex, believing a lot in the ability of music to combine different styles and artistic worlds, is also active on the collaborative front. He collaborated with Robert Owens (living house music legendary DJ and very important voice of house music), Yazee (producer and remixer of artists such as Nitro, Fabri Fibra and Salmo), German Leguizamon (male voice of the dance duo The Soundlovers), Luca Zeta (DJ and singer active since the years ’90), Adriano (singer, songwriter and voice of the indie band Mercybit), Lo Zio (producer of bootlegs and mash-ups), Monica Harem (singer at many Italian clubs and talented singer with a black voice), Wave Dave, Meseta and many other artists.

Currently Alex carries out all his musical projects and collaborates with many excellent record labels (Blanco Y Negro Music, King Street Sounds, Major Underground, Sony Music, Hit Mania, Keep Records, Claw Records / Net’s Work Records, Media Records, JayWork Music Group, Executiva Music…).

Among the most important international achievements we remember the numerous releases on Blanco Y Negro Music, King Street Sounds and Sony Music / Major Underground and the realization of the official remix of “Defence” by Studio Curiosity, soundtrack of the Korean Netflix series “Itaewon Class”.

There have also been numerous licenses of his records on international labels such as Toco Asia, Bryndak Records and Blanco Y Negro Music.

From June 2020 he leads the program “DANCE & THE CITY” together with Lo Zio on Radio Atlanta Milano and has been collaborating for years with numerous Italian and foreign radios proposing his radio shows, whose playlists, also present on 1001Tracklists are among those of reference used by DANCE DIRECTORY to draw up the Italian House Chart.
